Account security insists on sending an access code to my cellphone to complete login. However, I have no cell service at home. The code entry screen provides a toll-free number for help, but that is a total waste of time. When I finally got someone on the line who seemed to understand my dilemma, she actually suggested I leave the code entry screen up on my PC, get into my car, drive to a location with cell service, get the code, drive back home, and enter it. I was skeptical, but I tried it. Of course, the code entry screen had timed out by the time I got home. What's worse, the help agent told me I would have to do this only once. That obviously won't work for privacy-conscious users like me, who use browser security settings that wipe out all history, including cookies, upon exit.
How about just sending a code to me via email?
Boneheads.
